Kelvini-Republic Arms is proud to announce the public rollout of our new Mobile Anti-Aircraft Platform, the "Scorpion" -cost: 1,005,000 pistoolas per unit (approx. $1,111,530 USD) -power: SCORE 580-3190R, 3 Rotor, 1500 HP engine -fuel capacity: the Scorpion carries enough fuel for 10 hours of normal operation. -maneuverability: top speed over paved surfaces is approximately 115 km/h. over unpaved, hard surfaces there is a negligible reduction in speed, provided the surface is relatively free of large debris. over soft terrain (sand, snow, mud, etc.), the scorpion's top speed is reduced to approximately 81 km/h. -armament: Triple-barreled 32mm Rotary Anti-Aircraft Gun (x2) -Rate of Fire: 300 rounds/minute/gun -Magazine: the Scorpion's Magazine holds 15,000 32mm Airburst-Flak (AF) or Armor Piercing (AP) rounds. -armor: 3" hardened steel overall, additional .75" TTa around crew compartments and vital systems. -sensors: standard Optical, Integral Radar, NV and IR, long-range scrambled communications link -crew: 3: Driver, Gunner, Sensor Operator the Scorpion is a mobile defense turret, designed to operate in teams or as anti-air support for an advancing force. it can fire while in motion, and has a maximum effective range of 6 km. the turret can elevate to 95 degrees, and rotate 360 degrees horizontally while firing, thanks to a slip-ring ammunition feed system. The ARC-40-A "Stinger" guns draw power from the main engine to spin them up. once spinning, integral generators will keep the guns in motion until they are spun down. the electric drive motors are rated for 400 hours of continuous use at maximum capacity, and should never need to be replaced. note that the Scorpion is NOT a front-line unit, and has no defense against ground forces.
