8376 Hot Flame RC Photo 3: small 'wheelie' wheels (I think these are parts x266 and x265) Photo 4: unsprung front suspension - there are no shocks or springs in this set Photos 5,6,7: RC receiver/battery unit part number 6293 (unit from RC Race Buggy is 6292) also reads (c) 2002 The LEGO Group Photos 8,9,10: new 'spin-out' wheels part 44777 - also reads (c) 2002 LEGO Group This is actually a different RC receiver unit than the RC Race Buggy. There is no third channel power output. But the unit still uses the third channel from the transmitter paddles for the 'spin out' function - when you press a paddle while driving forward, the car reverses and turns in that paddle's direction. I'm not sure why Lego thought it was neccessary to waste the third channel for something I think any 10+ year old has the dexterity to do themselves (go forward, then hit reverse and turn at the same time). The 'Spin-Out' Wheels are actually one-piece plastic wheels! (It's hard to tell from the pictures on the box.) They are smooth, I suppose to help with the 'spin-out' stunt, but I'm thinking you'd have you use them on pavement or some other hard, rough surface, to get any traction to get the car moving. I've only tried them on carpet so far, which doesn't work the greatest - I also wonder how long this plastic will hold up spinning and skidding on pavement and such. http://www.lugnet.com/~2152/
