Mercury Eight, 1949. The Mercury Eight of 1949 was the first year of Mercury first post-WWII model. A 1949 Mercury Eight Police Cruiser was used for the character of Sheriff in the Disney Pixar movie Cars. The 1949 was a favourite in the custom car scene.
