Facel Vega diversified into a smaller model with a bespoke 4-cylinder engine, the Facellia in 1960. Major engine troubles sank the car. In 1964, one of the stop-gap remedies was the same car, fitted with a 6-cylinder engine from Austin-Healey the Facel 6.
