The LEGO-biplane has been modelled in "typical" Minifig scale of 
1:40 (3 studs = 1 meter). During the designing process I tried to keep the model as near as possible to the prototype which means the main body of the airplane should be kept at a width of below 3 studs.

The color scheme follows a real engine design similar to the one which became famous for the "Richthofen" Triplane.
