Lego Command Ship by Roy Nelson This ship was my first attempt at a large lego ship. It was built in six large sections and two smaller sections; Command Module, Mating Module, Habitation Module, Hanger Module, Shuttle Bay Module, Engineering Module and two Pods on the front. The ship also has two small fighters and a shuttle craft. The ship is 3 feet and 8 inches long or 147 studs long and its widest module is 30 studs wide. The ship is fully minifig assessable and can be taken apart to be fully human assessable. Two of the modules have panels on the sides that can be removed. I worked on this project over a period of 9 months and have spent an estimated 60 hours on it. Some other interesting facts on the ship are: There are 18 banks of weapons that are swivel mounted. The Command Module and the Mating Module are light. The back of the engin module uses the fiber-optic element to create the lighting effect. The ship has a crew of 14 but only beds for 9 although there is more room to add more beds. The ship has two bathrooms. The ship has two astro-mech/repair droids and four battle doids. The two small fighters are attached to the ship using magnets. The shuttle craft slides into the side of its module. There is a door that closes when it leaves. The Command Module and the Hanger Module where completely rebuit to what it is now. Roy Nelson is 25 years old, lives in Calgary, Alberta and is part of the newly started Southern Alberta Lego User Group (SALUG), and is grateful that his wife actually buys him lego.
