Calgary Science Centre Lego Mindstorms Project Designed and built by Roy Nelson Project was commissioned by the Calgary Science Centre to advertise their Lego Mindstorms Centre in the Science Centre's entrance area. Due to space constraints the display is located against a concrete roof support, this lead to the display being orientated in a 'studs horizontal' way. The display has a Mars theme featuring an RCX 'controlling' a turning radar dish, a spinning drill, and three blinking lights. The RCX's electronics were removed and the wire connectors were soldiered together. 9V DC power from a converter is fed directly to the electrical connecters to power the display. The display has been glued together. About $600 worth of brick is in the display. The display took 60 hours to design and build. Any questions can be directed to legoroy@telus.net
