Monster Truck -or- High-Suspension Remote-Controlled Vehicle This project was my first attempt at a true operational technic vehicle. It has front and rear suspension and rack-and-pinion steering. Two motors mechanically bound together drive the unit forward and back. One motor controls the steering. Control is by two bi-directional battery boxes. It can be dropped from a height of atleast two feet without breaking. I built 'Lego Hill' for something for it to climb over. It sometimes gets stuck or flips over. It move at of a rate of about 15 inches per second. Even with two motors I find it underpowered. Because its electric motors are up so high it easily tips. I spent an estimated 30 hours on this project. My wife found it funny the number of times I said "I've finished it" and then rip it apart ten minutes later to make a small change.
