Track Rover When I got the Robot Discovery Set for Christmas I was very excited that I finally had a set of treads. So much so that the first robot I built was the Rover. I was quickly disappointed, there was so much friction that the rover had difficulty turning. I designed my version of the rover to overcome this little design flaw. The Track Rover has a curved bottom to reduce the surface area thus reducing friction. It uses black spring mounts to accomplish this, which means that it has suspension. It also raises the top of the treads up to help it climb over obsticles. Roy Nelson rtnelson@telusplanet.net
