"The Grinch" Brought to you by www.BRICKITGOOD.com Credit where credit's due: Someone has already created a great Grinch. I saw his Brickshelf pictures in 2001. He didn't include any contact information so I cannot give him credit by name. Search Brickshelf for 'grinch' to find his pictures. Disappointed that there were no instructions, I did my best to recreate it with my own improvements (IMO) so my students and others could make their own Grinch. Also, the Grinch's ball is not my creation. The "poof" on his hat is the design of Bruce Lowell and is used with permission. Visit his website at: http://bruce.kus-numa.net/lego/ Building Notes: When building this sculpture I found it easier to start in the middle and build up for a while, then build DOWN, then finish the top. Building the Grinch was a little more difficult because it tapers at the top and bottom. I usually also build a lattice inside the sculpture or "fill in" some of the empty space. This is optional but I feel it makes the sculpture much more sturdy. Have fun and please email me with any comments or pictures of creations you've made from my instructions.
