060102 When I started this folder awhile ago it was more of me fooling around and learning how to render models. But I have since found I can make some real art from the bricks. When I started this I was using 3 dual proc servers in a farm like to render pics over night and days. I was rendering 5000x6000 + something. I only have one of the servers running now so my more recent work is only getting rendered at 800x600 or 1024x768. Once / if I set all the servers up again I probably will re-render some. But so far everything you see came out of the default fully loaded MLCAD/L3PAO/POV-RAY programs. Pillars-and-Tiles; This was my first go at some extreme camera and light usage. Pic 06.jpg is a normal render of the rest in this folder. Everything’s the same just a different camera location. Glass; Just some testing with clear parts, and for tweaking my server farm on shared renders. Brick 10-15; I was trying to show off the bricks and give some eye candy at the same time. I'm working on making a small movie with the center plate bouncing up and down while sending waves across the back. Maybe I will get them all rendered some day:) Kaleido; just fooling around One; The start of the printed part for the insert of my key chain flashlight. Key; The finial layout for the printed insert part of my key chain flashlight. MJG; A start of an attempt at making a avatar for my self. Tumble; was meant as one of the backgrounds for my avatar but have evolved into something else. You will see more once I get them rendered :) Snow; You will see more but these render times are long. :) Fire; talk about render times! I also will be rendering more of these. Ver 6 took over 62 hours on a dual PIII 900 with 1024 ram. And only a 1024x768 resolution. all those lights and transparent colors:) Mike Gallagher Mikeslego COLTC member NOSPAMNOLISTSgallaghersemailATyahooDOTcom.
